Dining at Valter’s Osteria in Salt Lake City was truly an honor. From start to finish, the experience was unforgettable. The food was absolutely exceptional — every dish was crafted with care, depth, and incredible flavor. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the quality of the cuisine and the quality of the service are equally outstanding, but Valter’s accomplishes both effortlessly.
Having tried for months to get a reservation, we we're pleasantly surprised when we called on Friday and got in that night.
The Italian food was amazing, but the duck dish truly stood out and was easily the highlight of the meal. The flavor was incredible and unlike anything I’ve had before. The service made the experience even better—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Everything was served in a timely manner, and the staff made us feel well taken care of. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and a place I would absolutely recommend and return to.

The food was incredible—no wonder this place has such a great reputation. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous complimentary offerings: bruschetta, house bread with dip, and even hot chocolate sauce with biscotti at the end.
Went to Valter’s for an anniversary dinner and as always, they didn’t disappoint! It’s always such a fantastic experience when we go here. The food is amazing. 10/10 experience! We tried the gnocchi and homemade lasagna this time and the lasagna was probably one of the most amazing dishes I’ve ever had. Lemon gelato w/ honey drizzled over the top with sea salt is also a must get!
The food at Valter’s was out of this world and our server, Sergio, was also a star! They treated us so well and kept adding food to the table. True hospitality. Everything was delicious, definitely recommend.
One of (if not the best) dining experiences I’ve ever had! I got the 3 course meal (which was actually like 5) and was blown away by the service, the food, and the atmosphere.
Can’t wait to return! Everything from the service from our beautiful waitress Kaitlyn to the hot bread with the garlic oil to the food everything was delicious. I want to try their lasagna and other night specials. Everything is served table side and portions are big enough to share. Make sure to reserve or you risk not getting in. A+ in my book
